A crash on the highway can also cause significant damage to other vehicles in the wake of the accident.

Two separate vehicle accidents in Kanahwha County led police to shut down roads. Both of the accidents involved two vehicles. One occurred in South Charleston at the Gestamp Plant. The other accident occurred on I-64 westbound in Cross Lanes. All lanes in both the accidents were re-opened after a brief period of time.

A significant accident on the highway can clog up roads for miles. From a liability perspective, a negligent driver can be responsible for a crash and its repercussions. A drunk driver or someone who is impaired is a hindrance on the roads. They may be responsible for an accident if they behave poorly. Compensation from a negligent driver can help pay for damaged vehicles, rehabilitation and medical therapy.

An auto accident on a highway can quickly take a turn for the worse. It's especially painful if it could have been avoided by a more attentive driver. Unfortunately, poor drivers are on the road. But they are also liable if they cause an accident. In West Virginia, that means victims can receive financial support to pay for living expenses while recovering from injuries. Compensation can also pay for lost income if an injury from an accident causes someone to lose work time.
